Let's walk like an insect!
Do you like it?
What you can learn from this activity: Understand one of functions that antennae of insects have by making a headband. Before making an actual model, you go out and look at how antennae of many kinds of insects look like. After making the headband, you wear it and experience the function of anntenae.
When and where to do: Anywhere and anytime
Materials:
Prepared by participants: scissors, color pencil, magnifying lens, water bottle, insect net, insect basket
Equipment by coordinator: leaflet, questionnaire, first aid box, materials for model, corrugated containers, adhesive tapes
Procedure: 1. Introduction of insect antennae. 2. Go out for finding many kinds of antennae. 3. Make a headband. 4. Make a maze with corrugated containers. 5. Have a competition to see how you can come out from the maze quickly. 6. Presentation of competition results. 7. Wrap-up.
